As the number of orphans escalates around the world, there is an increasing demand for sensory stimulation, nurturing touch and palliative care within orphanages and childcare settings. It is the vision of the Liddle Kidz Foundation Global to make a true difference for children who have been orphaned, along with their caregivers who lack the necessary support to provide them with best developmental care possible.
When a child has trouble with hearing it is called a hearing loss. There are many types and degrees of hearing loss. Types of hearing loss are classified by where in the ear the problem occurs.
Types of hearing loss include:
Conductive hearing loss: This type of hearing loss occurs when something interferes with sound waves traveling through the outer and middle parts of the ear.
Sensorineural hearing loss: This type of hearing loss is caused by a problem in the innermost part of the ear or in the auditory nerve (the term auditory refers to hearing).
Liddle Kidz Foundation Global uses nurturing touch and pediatric massage to improve communication and language skills, provide stimulation, develop awareness of the entire body and give effective proprioceptive input.
