As the number of orphans escalates around the world, there is an increasing demand for sensory stimulation, nurturing touch and palliative care within orphanages and childcare settings. It is the vision of the Liddle Kidz Foundation Global to make a true difference for children who have been orphaned, along with their caregivers who lack the necessary support to provide them with best developmental care possible.
When a baby is born with a congenital birth defect, there is almost always a guarantee that the child will have to undergo some procedure or surgery to correct the defect of their body. Depending upon the nature of the abnormality, and the treatment available, this population of children can be subject to a lifetime of medical procedures and immense discomfort.
Statistically, there are around 150,000 babies born with birth defects in the United States alone, being the leading cause of death within the first year of life. These irregularities can range from structural, functional, or body metabolism, and most all can be fatal.
There are over 4,000 different kinds of known birth defects, with the determining causes being a culmination of genetics, environments, and other unknown factors. Regardless of the cause of the birth defect, the choice we have to make is the way in which we nurture our children that obtain this special uniqueness within the remainder of their existing life. Knowing that their capacity and days are limited to the shape in which they were born, we extend our hearts in caring, to soothe and comfort them in their journey of life.
