Karen Dickson has been working with children since she was 15 years old. After spending her childhood as a competitive swimmer, she took her very first job teaching water babies, a program that gives grade school children the skills needed to swim correctly.
In her professional experience, Karen has provided care to children as a certified nursing assistant at a pediatric office and she has been a massage therapist since 2005.
Karen is a Deep Tissue Specialist and known for finding all the right spots and even ones you didn't know were there. She uses her advanced knowledge in Trigger Point Therapy, Positional Release Technique, Deep Tissue, Thai Yoga Massage, and Neuromuscular Re-education to get her clients back in working order.
As part of her more gentle approach, Karen has become trained and certified in Pre and Post-Natal Massage, infant massage and pediatric massage. She enjoys teaching parents the importance of how touch and movement are essential for growth, development, and health of infants and children.
Due to her dedication to full family wellness, Karen is pursuing her degree in nutritional therapy, and will be graduating in 2012. She has a profound passion for healing with nutrition, and plans to increase her practice to practice both therapeutic massage and nutrition to help in the optimal health for families and their children.
