Jane Abbott has worked with children in varying capacities for many years. From coaching sports to a volunteering in a hospice setting, Jane is always impressed and amazed at the resilience of children.
When presented with the opportunity to travel to the Philippines, it was an easy decision, “I love my job and am proud of my profession. I feel this outreach represents the best things about being a massage therapist. It reflects giving back and helping people; it communicates the universal language of compassion thru touch and provides physiological benefits to promote healing.”
Jane works as a Registered Massage Therapist in Vancouver, BC. She has worked in many different aspects of the profession and has gained well-rounded hands on experience in areas such as; drug rehab, hospice care, palliative care, special needs children, HIV support, MS support, victims of abuse, corporate setting, high risk pregnancy, eldercare and many sporting events.
Besides splitting her time between 2 busy clinics, Jane finds spare time to enjoy running, hiking, mountain biking, swimming and volleyball.
Jane most recently embarked on a Global Outreach in 2012 to provide nurturing and healing touch with the Liddle Kidz Foundation and a team of 21 other licensed professionals.
The team spent 3 1/2 weeks traveling throughout Vietnam, visiting orphanages performing pediatric massage and training caregivers
